Undoubtedly the most important event during May for the Beavers was the preparation of a craft gifts to present to their mothers for this occasion. The activity was organised between the Colony and the Pack. There was a lot of excitement as the children rehearsed with their leaders to ensure that everything was just right for their mothers.
The performance included plays and recital of poems and songs. At the end of this event the children happily presented the gifts which they had been preparing for weeks to their mothers. For this occasion the children also prepared sandwiches and fruit kebabs.
During June the Beavers were busy preparing gifts for their fathers. They made clay key-chains with their name engraved and were then wrapped in multi-coloured crepe-paper. The Beavers also prepared hand made Father’s Day cards.
