On the 2nd August, whilst on their summer camp, a special surprise
was arranged for the group: A visit to the camp site by His Excellency the Archbishop
of Malta Fr. Paul Cremona. The campers gave an official welcome the Archbishop, after
which the GSL showed his Excellency around the camp site. The Archbishop showed
interest in the set up and chatted with the scouts about their camping experiences.
The cub section proudly presented the group’s new marquee which housed them during
this camp. Naturally numerous photos were taken to memorize this special occasion.
The GSL on behalf of the group thanked Mgr Cremona for his visit and presented him the
group’s scarf and mug as a memento of the group.
