On the 28th June venture unit and the senior members of the troops
went on a bivouac hike were after leaving from our HQ walked through Naxxar, down to
Bumarrad and up to ‘Gnien L-Gharusa tal Mosta’ in Mosta. Upon arrival the scouts had
to prepare their own makeshift camps prepared from items the scouts carried with them.
There were some ingenious ideas of makeshift camps. In the morning, patrols cooked
breakfast on their stoves after which all stuff was gathered and the group walked back
to their quarters. The whole walk covered 19 Km.
